This pretty little 200-year-old detached cottage with thatched roof and whitewashed interior is everyone’s dream of what a cottage should be. The holiday cottage has been lovingly restored to preserve many of its original features without giving up on modern comforts or conveniences. This is a great area for superb landscapes, seascapes and exploring the surrounding area. Visit Fintragh Blue Flag beach, Slieve League, reputed to be the highest cliffs in Europe, the folk village of Glencolmcille, Bonny Glen Wood Nature Reserve and Glenveigh National Park, or take a boat trip from Fintragh Bay. Killybegs 1.5 miles. Shops, pubs and restaurants 1.5 miles. The holiday cottage affords sea views from one of the bedrooms and also from the attractive living/dining room. The pretty little village of Annascaul is 5 miles. There are some wonderful hiking routes in the area and there are organized walking routes in Annascaul. The property makes a great base for discovering the magnificent Dingle Peninsula with its wonderful selection of beaches, coves, lakes and islands. Ireland offers wonderful opportunities for hill walking, mountaineering, cycling, surfing and horse riding. There are many fine golf courses in this area and for the fishing enthusiast there are plenty of fresh and sea water angling opportunities. Dingle town offers a wonderful selection of great restaurants, quaint pubs and varied craft shops. All on ground floor: Living/dining room with beams. Kitchen. 2 double bedrooms. Whichever way you look, the views are amazing. This is a very modern property, with a lot of attention to detail paid to its contemporary interior. The large picture windows, with window seats, take advantage of the panoramic views. This is an area of mountains, lakes and golden sandy beaches. The nearest beach is Dooey (2 miles) a great favourite with surfers. There’s plenty to see and do, including a golf course at Portnoo, watersports, Glenveagh National Park and ferry trips to nearby islands. Shops 0.6 miles, pubs 0.3 miles.
