Jacob is having a few issues with nappies. He is currently wearing Huggies size 6 that are supplied by a continence team here in Kent. They are a perfect fit size wise, but are not absorbent enough, and we are having a number of leaks. This of course is generating huge amounts of washing. The Continence team only use one company (www.hartmanndirect.co.uk) to supply the nappies and the next size of nappy is designed for larger children (small adults really when you see the size of them!). They do not make anything in between.
I have requested contact details of the head of the continence team so I can make a formal complaint. They are not providing an adequate service to Jacob and it is wrong to expect a child to have to put up with constantly being wet. I’m sure it must compromise his human rights, and falls short of the duty of care they should have to him.
Is anyone else having the same or similar issues?
